The villa was built in the 16th century as a hunting lodge for the landlords of the valley. It is protected under the Protection of Monuments Act because it still retains many of the original features. of the structure. The entry hall’s vaulted ceiling is a rare example of the Alpine Renaissance style. The fine carving and inlaying of the massive antique doors are equally remarkable. The original wooden beams, so steeped in history, still grace nearly every room. With the exception of some carefully selected design pieces, all of the furnishings were custom built by local artisans. Using sublime fabrics and the finest of textiles in combination with a wide array of aesthetic details, the style is a retreat that immediately captivates each and every guest. An irresistible synthesis of absolute naturalness, authentic craftsmanship, stylish charm, and understated elegance is discernible throughout the house.
The environmental sustainability of the property is a priority. The water comes from natural springs, much of the food served is sourced from local farmers, and the entire building is heated by an eco-efficient wood chip system – with wood obtained from the surrounding forest. The traditional brick oven and fireplace not only provides a pleasant counterpoint to modern technology, but also creates a cozy atmosphere in which every guest feels immediately at home.
Three ample living areas on the ground floor provide plenty of space and freedom. The exquisite Tea Room is graced with an elegant seating area, plush pillows, and soft fabrics, making it ideal for stimulating conversation. Up to twenty guests can dine in style or celebrate a special occasion in the traditional Stube parlor.
On the upper floor, there is a beautifully arranged lounge. Opulent relaxation areas tastefully positioned around a crackling fire make an inviting prelude to the four individually-designed bedrooms. There are three double suites and one room with two bunk beds, making it popular with children.
The exquisite spa offers a Finnish sauna – designed and handcrafted from 200-year-old wood sourced from a neighboring farm – a Turkish bath, a spacious whirlpool, and an experience shower clad in warm natural stone. In addition, an experienced therapist and wellness coach is made available upon request. Guests may opt to enjoy their treatment in the wellness oasis of the garden.
In the outdoor area, guests will find a stylishly arranged seating area, comfortable and elegant wooden lounge chairs, and blankets made of the finest cashmere; in addition, there is large panoramic whirlpool, heated to 39º Celsius, that offers unique views of the mountains. It’s the perfect spot from which to revel in the lodge’s relaxing atmosphere and enjoy the beautiful countryside.
The former goat stables were transformed into a wine cellar. Boasting 1,500 bottles of local wines from 142 different wineries, it is the best-stocked cellar comprising South Tyrolean wines in the world. The original wooden ceiling, stone walls, and natural stone floor all serve to transform this space into a distinctive wine-tasting room.
If you like golf, there is a golf course at your footsteps. Renowned American golf-course designer Ron Kirby, in collaboration with GSA Landscape and Golf Design, transformed the golf course at Villa Favole into a true sensation for anyone who is passionate about golf. The golf course is presumably the steepest in the world. It offers a rare opportunity to golf in a way that transcends all convention. This green offers the golfer no less than three flag sticks along its 45-meter length. Brilliant 8, the European partner of Southwest Greens, designed and built this master piece of artificial turf based on the experience of Jack Nicklaus, one of the world’s most successful golf pros.
